Let’ s Have a Conversation

Mike Thorne

Mike was adopted as an infant, and was blessed to have a loving and permanent family. Mike’s interest in fighting for equity of access to resources is partially a result of his adoptive childhood. His discovery of his birth family later in life inspired an awareness of how access to opportunities is tied to childhood circumstances.

That awareness created a commitment to ensuring that all kids, especially those in under-served communities, have access to the programs that will help them to be successful.

What I Do:

I bring together like-minded people that can create a movement across communities and elevate these talented youths and help them become the best version of themselves and help them meet their moment!

How I Do It:

  • Consulting
  • Mentoring
  • Speaking

What Can I Do For You?

I am a seasoned executive with more than 20 years of experience working with people and organizations to play a bigger game in life and business. I am a systems entrepreneur – I take an integrated approach to effecting positive change by getting everyone involved and focused on addressing an issue.

Throughout my successful business career, I have worked with entrepreneurs, private equity owners, and consumer packaged goods leaders in public and privately owned businesses.

I had the honor to be president of Russell Athletic Team Division as well as president of The Yankee Candle Company.

I was recently recruited to steer Easton Baseball/Softball through bankruptcy, create a new vision and sell the business.

I bring over two decades of experience in corporate America to my current mission in life.

How can I help you?

I work with an organization’s leadership team to identify the business’ needs and mission, and determine the requirements to deliver on that mission.

I have built models and have tools to help simplify the process and drive the change or vision the founder has for his/her business.

I look for mission-driven founders who have a vision and passion for their product, cause, or initiative that creates change, adds value, or disrupts the status quo while driving equity in the areas of sports, arts, or music in their communities.

I have a passion for communicating my vision and story. I welcome the opportunity to speak in front of your group or organization.

Connecting Resources

I will facilitate connections between organizations and resources, and act as an influencer to educate and drive resources to mission-driven organizations.
